Appointment Policy

At Suburban Animal Hospital, to allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. If you are arriving for your first visit at our practice, please bring all vaccine history and important medical history. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time so that you can complete necessary paperwork and prepare for your visit. If you must cancel your appointment, please try to give us at least 24 hour notice so that we can give the appointment time slot to another client. If you fail to show up or give 24hr notice for your scheduled visit, there will be a $50 fee. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. Occasionally during the appointment the doctor will offer to have you drop-off your pet for diagnostics. A 'drop off' means you leave your pet with us for a couple of hours while we perform any necessary tests. Once the doctor is done, they will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions. For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date and all patients must be free of fleas. At check in all patients will be checked for fleas and treated upon arrival if needed.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Care Credit, cash and personal checks.

Boarding Rules

Our boarding facility is limited to our own existing patients at Suburban Animal Hospital. We require all of our guests staying with us to be an active client, up to date on vaccinations and free of fleas.

If your pet is sick during their stay, we will notify you immediately about their needs. We will attempt to contact the owner at all provided phone numbers, as well as contacting any emergency numbers you've supplied to us. We will use our own discretion about administering treatments if we are unable to reach you.

The team at Suburban Animal Hospital reserves the right to refuse boarding services to pets that are overly aggressive.
