Suburban Animal Hospital Video Endoscopy
We utilize two Olympus Video-endoscopes ( not the old fashion fiberoptic type). We can look into the stomach, small intestine, and colon. We have smaller Olympus scopes that can enter the female urinary bladder through the urethra, and a scope small enough to visualize the inside of the nose. We have small rigid scopes to observe and record the external ear canal and longer flexible video scopes that can reach down the trachea into the lungs. All these scopes allow us to observe directly changes to tissue and with the use of a biopsy retrieval forceps can extract small samples for examination by a pathologist.
