Suburban Animal Hospital Isolation Cage
For our contagious dogs and cats were have installed two isolation cages. Each cage is self-contained. Air entering the cage is filtered and the air leaving is exhausted to the outside. All waste is connected directly to the sewage system. The room's air pressure is kept at 5 p.s.i. lower then the surrounding rooms by a special exhaust fan. This negative pressure prevents air from the isolation room to enter any adjoining rooms. The negative pressure exhaust unit also filters the exhaust air through H.E.P.A. filters and the air is irradiated with bacteria and virus killing ultraviolet light. We do not want to exhaust air that is contaminated.
