Dr. Nikeer Shah was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area. Growing up, Dr. Shah was scolded by his parents for watching countless hours of Animal Planet and the Discovery channel. From an early age, he knew in his heart that caring for animals was his future. This passion led him to Virginia Tech, located in Blacksburg, Virginia, where he attained a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences. Following his time in Blacksburg, Dr. Shah attended Veterinary School in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation from Veterinary School in May 2021, he immediately joined the Suburban Animal Hospital team. Dr. Shah’s professional interests include dermatology and Internal Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and spending time with his wife and two cats (Felipe and Bruce).
